  • Genesis 3:6 And the woman saw [that the tree]

    ותרא הואשה

  • Genesis 3:6 "And the woman saw" that the tree was good for food...

  • This is actually Genesis 1:9:

    ותרא היב[שה

"And let the dry ground appear."

  • "The Biblical Qumran Scrolls" edited by Eugene Ulrich agrees with S_Walch. The last two letters do look like 'yodh' and 'beth' instead of 'waw' and 'aleph'.

However, their identification of where the passage belongs differ from S_Walch's, and notice that S_Walch's identification actually differs with the text on where the letter 'he' belongs (word division). According to Ulrich's book, the text is part of a passage in Gen. 1:9 reconstructed by back-translating from the LXX, which is missing from the Masoretic Text. There is no other Hebrew witness to it.
